Special Committee
In case a particular matter needs to be investigated, or it is necessary to inspect certain agendas such as those under the control of standing committees, the Special Committee can be organized by a resolution at the plenary session.
At present, Ulju-gun County Council has Special Committee on Budget and Account to inspect budget proposals and account settlements and Special Committee on Ethics to investigate the matters relating to council members’ ethics and penalty &eligibility.

Special Committee on Budget and Account
This committee organized to inspect budget proposals and account settlements consists of 7 members. It gets the budget proposals and account settlements preliminary inspected by each standing committee and inspects overall matters for the betterment of Ulju-gun.
Special Committee on Nuclear Safety
This committee organized to keep nuclear power plants and local people safe is comprised of 6 members. With the construction of the Kori Nuclear Plant Units 3 and 4 (Units 5 and 6 slated to be constructed), it releases the results of the safety inspection on the nuclear plants in an open and transparent manner and makes the locals feel safe and secure.
Special Committee on Ethics
This committee is organized to review the matters relating to the council members’ ethics and penalty. It is comprised of 7 members including 1 president. Specifically, it covers those subject to punishment and council members’ qualifications after penalty review and claim.
